 The Lawton Public Schools will conduct a workshop for school bus drivers Oct. 26-30. the workshop, which is approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Education and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, will be held at the LPS Transportation Center, 1101 S. 17th in Lawton. Classes will be in session from 5-10 p.m. Monday-Friday. The lead instructor will give individual driving tests by appointment beginning Oct. 31. Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements. No other over-the-road driving tests will be required. Although the class is primarily for drivers seeking employment as LPS bus drivers, enrollment is also open to surrounding school districts. |
