 The Elgin city council will vote Thursday night on a proposition from the Elgin Economic Development Authority to open a line of credit in the amount of $1.5 million with Liberty National Bank. At this special meeting of the council, Jamie and Debbie McDonald's request to be annexed into the city limits will be voted on. Ordinance 10-01 will be voted on. The agenda does not state what it is about and there has been no prior discussion. Additionally the council will consider a proposal from I am responding.com to include wireless capability and monthly fee. The council will consider a proposal to apply for an Operational Grant through the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture to use to purchase two sets of fire department bunker gear. Finally, the council will discuss and take action concerning the city's plan for clean-up from the Jan. 28 ice storm. The public is urged to attend this council meeting which is scheduled for 6pm in city hall. The Public Works Authority board will hold a meeting following the council and will consider action to purchase backup generators for the water wells and lift station. They will also discuss and take action over funding for Garver Engineer Contract 09078201 (Design, bidding and construction - Elgin Wastewater Treatment Improvements). |
